Fifth Stop: Sarnia, ON CANADA

Our last major stop was in Sarnia, Ontario. We stayed with Tim's buddy from college, Tim Cressman and his family. They have 3 kids almost the same ages as our kids and we all hit it off immediately. we all felt like we had been friends for years. We had such a great time together. They had us speak at their church and share what we are doing. We received such a great welcome! I might have adopted a little canadian accent...i couldn't help it.

Fourth Stop: Canton, MI

After our stay in Grand Rapids, we headed to Sam and Jamie Bott's house to meet the latest edition, sweet Ingrid. We were all set to stay in their cute basement, but we would have had to bring our floaties, because their basement was flooded too, only they had been gone for 2 weeks and didn't know it. So they came home to almost 2 feet of water. That was SO devastating for them. But they were so great and had us over for dinner. We ended up staying at a local hotel for the night and we had them over for our FREE breakfast. ha. ha. it was great fun. Annie and Eliza hit it off and played dress up and bossed the boys around. It was so great to see Sam and Jamie too.

Third Stop: Grand Rapids, MI

After we got kicked out of my Gramy's we stayed with my friend Jamie's folks, well we stayed in their house that is, they were out of town and let us stay in their home. Which was such a blessing since we had no where to go for the 2 days we planned on staying with my Gramy. We had so much fun there. We played in the new fallen snow, made snow angels and snow ice cream! yum! we also made dough ornaments and only managed to break one snow globe, that was a near disaster though, landing on their glass coffee table and starting to soak through on their wedding album and priceless old bible, but we saved it all...thank you Lord! we hope they will invite us back after all that!

Second Stop: Holland, MI

So we had to go see my Gramy, perhaps our last visit...she was not up for us staying the planned two days however, so we left after a couple of hours, but we had a great time and took some sweet pics too. I love my Gramy, she is the most poised and beautiful lady you will ever meet. she of course graciously and politely kicked us out though! =) don't worry...we aren't mad!

First Stop: Wheaton

on our trek across the nation, we stopped at tim's sister's house. She is married to Chip and our sweet nephew Jack was there too of course. we had so much fun, including sledding! the kids were so excited about the snow. the not so fun part was when their basement flooded after all that snow melted. so we temporarily crashed all over their living room and office. it was a tight squeeze! i am pretty sure us and all of our stuff was in every nook and cranny of their house at one point or another. it was such a bummer for them though, having to bail out a second time after their basement flooded in the fall too. we also got to go to a great children's museum, and out to the movies once.
