Ezra turns 1!

We had so much fun going to Ezra Nowery's 1st Birthday!  These cakes were made by a local person in the big city who is starting her own business. I was impressed!
 Cute family.
 Love the relationship this captures.
Ezra is such a friendly boy. We all felt loved by him.
I love this picture.

When I saw how he attacked his cake...I knew I loved him.

That's right...keep your hands clean...and get 'er done!
 Present time!

Best Find: his grandpa's favorite book found at the used bazaar! SCORE!

Proud of my kids!

For team prayer, Annie led us in a song of Jesus Loves Me. She did a great job!

She practiced a lot beforehand! She says she wants to lead worship just like Tim some day!

Jesse announced after lunch the other day that he wanted to do the dishes for me! He dragged out the step stool and used a lot of water, but did a great job doing the dishes for me.

Tim does the dishes for us regularly and Jesse just stepped in the same way Tim does. Love that he is learning from a great example!

Best Date Ever!

Tim and I had a blast on our most recent date! We dropped the kids off with the Houghs and we went home to make pasta together! We decided to make a ravioli!
For not having a pasta roller...and it being our first time...we were really pleased. It's actually pretty simple...eggs and flour!
We also made fresh bread and stuffed mushrooms!
 Ready to cook!
 Cooking...
Ready to eat...with an amazing sauce!

We were so proud of ourselves and had so much fun together!
Falling more in love! So thankful for a husband who I can have so much fun with!

SNOW DAY!

We woke up Thursday morning to snow just starting to fall. By 8 am...it was coming down fast! Everyone threw on their snow clothes and headed outside!

I loved how my roses looked covered in snow!
There is just something thrilling about snow!
We were the only ones out for awhile!
I put the heater in the shoe room and let the boys come in periodically to warm their hands!
Then I had a genius idea to tear up some cardboard boxes that Tim insists we keep and make sleds on our steep road!
 It was perfect!
 So fun!

When the snow stopped coming down...the neighbors decided to come out and pitch snowballs at us!
I gave the cardboard a try!
I am sure the neighbors enjoyed this very much...especially when I wiped out at the gravel part of the road!
She had incredible aim...she was going for my kids' faces!
 Beautiful!

Later on in the afternoon, it snowed again and I made the kids a giant bowl of snow ice cream! I passed out plastic spoons and everyone dug in!
