i know you all thought we were roughing it, but in reality we are not...as you can see from this blog!
this is our freezer/refrigerator section in our supermarket. if you can't tell the power is out right now, so things might not be real cold, but no worries, the milk comes in a box and has a lifetime of several years with our without the fridge.
just a view of the homewares section, next to the chips and shampoo section. there are 5 carts to choose from.
you can get normal products...although we think they are rip-offs, most of them are pretty good rips offs...herbal essences, pantene, pert plus, crest, even found a mini box of tide.
it even has an ATM, however no one here has credit cards and it is unplugged, but it looks fancy.
however, you can find a whole variety of new products that you can't find in the states. including Bleach powder called Barf...haven't tried this one yet!
also you can buy slimming scrub soap and if you just look at the box with the little brown circle, it looks like the soap contains microorganisms that will eat your flesh away...pretty sure i won't try this one. i have also seen "breast-enhancing soap"...didn't buy that one when i had the chance, apparently it was a hot item.
this soap is "carviar soap", but i think it is supposed to say "caviar" soap and it promises to reduce lines and wrinkles. there are also soaps that whiten.
