The Lake

It's hot here...i'm not just talking about sweating a little, I am talking move and drip sweat after 10 seconds. I am talking about go outside and feel like you might pass out after 3 minutes. i am talking about you have to drink gallons of water every day. I am talking about it's 10 pm and 110 degrees out still...that's hot! It's reaching up to the 120s and they say in August it will be "raining fire." doesn't that sound charming? So what do you do when you might wilt? head to the lake!
We crammed as many people into our car and headed for the lake! perfect temperature...along with lots of Kurdish men in underwear! I will spare you those pictures!
Zeelan managed to squeeze in the back with the kids! She had never been in a lake before, but proudly wore the floaties and by the end of the time had worked up a lot of courage and was floating out into the deep water.
Toby was very brave, he gave up his water wings for Zeelan and wore the small Barbie ones...without any whining or complaining! What a trooper!
Jesse taking a break with the girls for a little snack!
We moved to a new location after awhile...because suddenly all the Kurds and boats were surrounding us. We found this fun rock to jump off of!
Ready...
Set...
LAUNCH!
Laura rigged this stick and towel to help shade us all from the sun for a bit! It's brutal!
