We acted out Palm Sunday...which included palm leaves, cloaks (bath robes), a donkey (Tim...house trained), and Jesus (Jesse).
Every day leading up to Easter, we did a different activity to keep our minds focused on Jesus and to walk through the entire story. On Monday we made bread, to remind us that Jesus says, "I am the Bread of Life."
Then we took the fresh loaf to a neighbor. We were able to share with her about this special week. She was very open and wanted prayer afterwards.
Unfortunately I didn't take any more pictures of the rest of the week that included going on a scavenger hunt for things in nature that remind of Jesus. Going on a "new life" walk, looking for things that remind us of new life. I didn't take a picture of the cool table cloth the kids made with fabric markers. I didn't take a picture of foot washing. But it was such a sweet week and we were all anticipating Sunday. So thankful for special things that help to mark something so significant in our lives. This year was especially sweet as our kids are able to understand so much more and interact on a real level.
