February Happenings

So fun to use some of our quiet and cold hours in front of the heaters to make things for friends!
So fun to go to Sarah's baby shower for Macy. Annie made this cute elephant! It's fun to have something we enjoy doing together!

Valentine's day is fun occasion to just love on each other a little extra. I love focusing on the little fun things these holidays bring us.

The kids all got heart wreaths and bags of candy and love notes outside their doors.
 Pancakes for breakfast!
Toby is 9! Sometimes it feels like he was a baby yesterday and other days it feels like those times were ages ago! Either way I am so proud of this young man. He has a sensitive and generous heart. He loves Jesus so much and is filled with love for others. He also loves to read the Word of God and genuinely wants to become a man of God. We know God will use him and honor these qualities in his life.

Love this book that will mean hours and hours of creative fun for this builder!
When do they get tired of Legos?
 Crepes for breakfast!

This adorable tween is 11! This young lady made me a mom 11 years ago. I have never looked back or missed the days of not being a mom. Annie fulfilled my life-long dreams of being a mom. Of course I used to want to be a mom so "I can boss everyone around." While I do boss everyone around, I have found some deeper joys. Annie is a faithful and true friend. She loves to honor God in all she does and says. She will one day make a great mom too as she is learning the delicate art of "bossing." She delights in home and things going consistently. She is a hardworker and full of creative energy. She loves to run and play and dig in the dirt still. She is such a unique wonder to me. I am constantly kept on my toes as I seek how to make her blossom to her fullest and not squelch any of her unique abilities and qualities. We love you Annie-Girl!
Cinnamon rolls for this girl's breakfast!

We had guests, the Bolds, who used to live above us on Annie's day. It was fun to share her special day with friends!

Haven was quite interested in all that was going on!
Toby ordered a Wii cake this year!
Annie asked for a Topsy-Turvy piano cake!
It's so much fun to create these together and dream them up together!
When she is all ready to go out with jewelry, a purse and that million dollar smile...I realize she is almost a teenager! Couldn't be more happy to watch her grow up so beautifully!
Our friends in the city all made our day by celebrating with us!

I love how this picture captures these girls' hearts for each other! So thankful for heart friends in the city!

I think the pizza restaurant was ready for us to leave!!

  1. Oh my, amazing cakes Kristi--quite a feat overseas!!! I love how you encourage your kiddos so. This post and others will be such a treasure to them in the future! We want to learn to crochet like you and Annie. I've asked Linda to teach us. :)
