Hazar Merd Village

We decided to take a drive out to the mountains. The days are getting hot and we won't have much time before we won't be able to play outside anymore. We found these storks.
I love these guys. We look for them every year. They migrate from Africa in the early spring and lay eggs and raise their young. They are such an icon for us. They are kind of mangy up close, but we love watching them fly in.
We couldn't pass up this wheat field. It's so beautiful.
The kids were launching the wheat heads at me while I was trying to take a picture. They were stuck all over me and they hurt!

We got to see a lot of animals today!
Look at all the goslings hiding in the grass.
A European Bee-Eater. These guys migrate in every year too. They are really beautiful.
We can see this rock formation from our house, so we wanted to go check it out.

 So many wildflowers.

We could see the airport and our city from this viewpoint. Can you see the airplane in the air? Also our house is on the right side of this picture just above the white and red buildings.
Apparently this was the poppy to get all the nectar from.
 Love these buddies!
"Mom, I saw a lizard this big!"

A yellow poppy. I have never seen this before. It was beautiful.
