Neighborhood Fun!

so it's great to be able to have a pool here, but not so great since you can't get water...however for whatever random reason we got over 2 hours of water the other day, so after our tanks filled and we washed down our driveway...gets full of dust and dirt. we were able to fill the pool! hooray! the kids had a great time!
this is Haugeen...she is around annie's age and lives down the street. she is such a beauty! a real sweet girl too!

Lavine...the sweet one i got to be a part of her birth...2 months ago! i cannot believe she is already that old! she is growing so well and is getting chubby! today she rewarded me with a HUGE smile!
here's annie with her friends learning to play this cute game called "Moriani" (roll the r). basically you squat down like this for a long time (i already am disqualified from this game) and you dig a little trench in any random dirt pile and every little girl has a little bucket of beads, buttons, rings, and random treasures. you use a bead or marble to flick with your thumb and try to land it in the hole at the end of the trench. if you win, you win one of the other girls' beads. it's so fun and the girls all have a little stash of treasure. only girls play it. so sweet. they all pitched in and gave annie a few of their beads to get her started. annie can already squat like a pro!
random side note: so today i learned that raising your eyebrows is ONLY for men! i apparently do this a lot when i walk up to say hello to all my friends. today they finally told me that only men do this to women! yikes! who knows what else i do that is culturally inappropriate! oh well...=)
