How will our kids ever be normal if they grow up thinking 5-star resorts are the norm? Given the fact that they live without power on a normal basis, run out of water, are constantly dirty, and learning a new language...I think it all balances out. On the docket for today: indoor pool, kids pool, mini-golf, giant chess, soccer, water slides, tennis...you know the usual!
you know when you've had too much sun and then you re-apply sunscreen and it burns around your eyes...yeah that happened to Jesse...except he screamed for 10 minutes straight...and then hid. A little dramatic???
We call this slide the toilet bowl...you go down a long dark tube and then swirl around and plop out the bottom....so fun!
Annie found some American friends to play with today....nothing like a little peer pressure to get her down the slides by herself! She's on the left!
Best part of today was discovering that it's my Birthday! who knew??! Came back to a cake, a bottle of wine and a 50% off gift card to the spa! yeah! The service here is a little whacky...but they said we could keep the cake, card and wine! Who are we to decline a gift??
Much to my chagrin...Tim has decided to let the kids watch Star Wars, he insists he watched it as a kid and loved it. But I made them eat carrot sticks while watching...so i still have a little say around here!
Favorite things today about being on vacation:
1. No dishes or cooking or cleaning!
2. Fresh towels every day!
3. Clean sheets every 3 days!
4. Reading in the sun! I love my Kindle!
