A Few Days without the Guys

Stephanie and I let the guys go to a conference in Turkey, so we were on our own. We tried to hang out a couple of times to pass the time more quickly. The little boys did an amazing job protecting us!
 Pretty girls
We went to the tree on Toby's actual birthday...he had to try out his new slingshot!
Annie has such a loving heart and she adores Vera and holding any time Vera will let her.
Mighty men of God in the tree.

He really is getting so big. I made it through this year without crying, but this week I am realizing how my kids are growing up so fast. I am trying to enjoy each and every moment with them. I am desperately trying to BE with them and not just plan ahead or multi-task. Some people need help doing...I need help to NOT do...just BE.
This little guy has such a sweet heart.
I love this dude. Today he told me his talent is being brave. I admire that so much.
 cutie pie.
I love that these kids will grow up loving each other and loving the Kurds.
This girl is amazing! She is so full of life and energy. I love when I bring her out to the tree. She just runs and runs and runs. We always feel so free when we come out here. Her eyes are always open and expectant and ready for new discoveries. We even found the first hints of spring. The tree was budding and we even found a few brave flowers poking out of this rocky land.
We brought cupcakes for a snack!
 One last hoorah for Toby!
If only I could freeze these moments in time and re-live them over and over. Thank you God for the Tree, the space to run and be free and explore your world.
