The Last Events in Portugal

Tim and I got to visit a vineyard and winery. These were huge, old, oak barrels that had port wine aging in them for up to 60 years.

Everything seemed like we had stepped back in time 100 years ago. The smells, sounds and sights were all so beautiful.

The distilling process was fascinating.

They used to bring the grapes in from the hills and weigh them right here and then take them in to be squeezed.

The beautiful vineyard Quinto de Sanguinal.
One of the main highlights for the kids was biking every chance they got, rain or shine!
Thankful for the cute, IKEA umbrella.
All the kids came over and we made Star Wars cookies with really fun cookie cutters from Grammy.
They didn't have the patience to worry about covering the pattern nicely with icing.
It was a wild and fun time!
Every morning I enjoyed watching the sun come up and then I would head out on a walk through the vineyards and orchards. We feel completely refreshed and rested. We had such a wonderful time.
God really used this time to speak to us and set us up for the next season. We are looking forward to see God move.

  1. Wonderful pictures, Kristi! How fun to see your photos of the winery, and, especially of the family. You have a real gift for photography.
