Sandoya, Norway

If all Norwegians are like the ones we met, this is the place to live for sure! Yet another family graciously shared with us. They picked us up at the coast and took us out for a day in the fjords and even out to the North Sea!
 I love all the flags!

Living here wouldn't be half bad.
Our hostess prepared delicious rolls called Boller. They were still warm.

It was cold and windy on the water, but the kids didn't want to miss a second!

This little cutie fell asleep for most of the adventure. I am so in love with the Norwegian blond hair!

The boys even got to be captain for a few minutes.
Then they busted out the fishing poles and taught the kids how to cast off!

Another random swan family near the ocean.
Annie was the only one to catch a fish and she was not super excited about it.

In the end, it was really sad for when she realized that the poor fish would never again swim. She has decided fishing is not for her.
Finally we arrived at the island the family lives on. We had a beautiful time with their family in the cute yellow house.

This sums up their generous heart.
I wouldn't mind waking up to this view every morning. After dinner, they drove us in the boat back to where they picked us up. Another perfect Norwegian day.

  1. Tell Annie I feel the exact same way about fishing!
