We headed to the mountains this weekend to get away! To spend more time praying as a team and seeking God for direction in this season! Can you imagine a better location than this? Who wouldn't feel like they heard from God here? It was a little chilly still, but the first signs of spring were in the air! We had a great time as a team pushing into new ground together! We are expectant for this next season!

We had a fun afternoon with our friends the Tilmans! A great family always ready for an adventure! They took us up a mountain that was still snow-covered! Our kids had so much fun playing in the snow!

Okay...so we had to be a little careful...see that Red sign on the rock....that would be a warning to not go past that point because there could be mines!

So we stayed in the safe snow and made great snowballs!

Wendy and I enjoying the fresh air and each other!

Okay...so it wasn't ALL fun...once you fell so many times and your hands grew numb with the cold, it was time for tears! Our kids haven't quite learned the sense of adventure that the Tilman kids have!

Annie also had to have a talk with her Daddy about not being fearful...but who can blame her really...no one wants to play in a mine field!

Toby was ready for the adventure though!

This breath-taking view was stunning...so spoiled to be fully enjoyed by the Evil that planted mines all over this mountain! It brings new meaning to the prophecies about the land being uninhabitable!

another angle...because I just couldn't take it all in.

Annie conquered her fear and went off the path to the safely marked areas!

Family photo op...yes my face is totally wind-burned and red!

another angle of us and the majesty we got to play in!

Paul demonstrating how to avoid mines!

So I am still learning this camera, I overexposed these pics...but I kind of like how they turned out....and the treasure of old bullets and bombs we found...it's so hard to picture what this land looked like only a few years ago.

our snowman...with a bullet nose and bomb head...

some of the other hikers that day...we didn't chat long!

I couldn't resist taking a picture of their foot prints. they were wearing pointy-toed dress shoes and scaling the mountain like it was nothing...amazing!

that's right...my man is STRONG!

and crazy for building a snowman on top of our car...unfortunately he didn't make it all the way down the mountain! as you can see one of his hands was blown off by a mine. it's a hard knock life here! The snow was amazingly refreshing and our time with the Tilmans was awesome! Thanks for including us on your adventures Tilman Family! We love you guys!
