Waterfalls, Friends, Canyons, and Alpine Slides!

All 8 of us, including Holly, piled into our car on Friday and took a 3 hour drive to a really beautiful part of Kurdistan that is right on the border of Iran and Turkey. Amazing! We stopped at this waterfall, a spring that just gushes out a rock all day long, all year long! I kind of think this is where Moses struck the rock and water came out! It's freezing cold and amazing!
Some are braver than others...good thing I thought ahead and brought an extra change of clothes!

 looking up at the canyon
All the girls, Wendy, Dawn, my mom, me and Holly! We had an amazing lunch together and a fun time of catching up!
The kids love playing with the Ray boys...so we all headed to the amusement park together!
The alpine slide finishes and hangs over the edge of the canyon!
Mimi and Boppa even did it...REALLY slow...but still we were all proud of them for going!
Annie and Peter went by themselves!

We walked out over to the canyon to get pics and be amazed by God's creation.
Toby pulling a classic...always giving the girls flowers! Love that kid!
What fun we had with Mimi and Boppa! This trip will never be forgotten!
Somehow we all managed to squeeze into two bedrooms and one bathroom for 3 weeks and I never got annoyed! How does that happen? People must have been praying, but I think I am finally growing up and able to appreciate my parents' sacrifices for me. We had some amazing times together of sharing, uncovering the past, crying, laughing, hugging, forgiving, telling stories, playing games, and becoming a stronger family!
We had to get a family shot while we could! My parents are gone now and the house is emptier. The kids cried the whole way out of the airport.
But we are still the same old crazy family!
We still have Holly with us! We are so thankful for this amazing woman of God!
Mimi and Annie are especially good buds. They love to hug and talk and share secrets.
My beautiful girl who lately has started calling herself a Tomboy! Not exactly since she still likes to look cute, but I love the cut on her knee, the dirty elbows and the blow-away hair in this picture. She is such a FUN girl!
 Me and my Mom!
Had to include this picture of us messing around together...trying not to have a double chin or a gut! I love my momma!
