For our last day we went to the zoo in Lisbon. This zoo was 120 years old and was complete with beautiful, old world charms and you could get so close to the animals.
Getting ready for the dolphin show...is this Sea World??!
Which one of these does not belong?? That would be ME...I was SO excited about the show too!
They brought a sea lion out to kiss all of us. They used to do that back in the day.
But then people started suing for fishy breath.
I personally LOVED the whiskery kiss.
Thanks to Jenni...I got to go back into the tank! It was all I could do to not kick off my shoes and throw myself into the pool.
I'm in love...in heaven...Lord...can I be a dolphin and whale trainer or just get to swim with them every day??
These little punks got to ride in a boat...I almost threw them out and put my own kids in.
My shining moment...
I could have just jumped in!
The cable cars were so fun too...we got to ride right over all the animals in the zoo.
Lisbon...love the giant Jesus statue.
We went to the petting zoo....
Jenni got a nice little deposit on her hand from the pigeons above. GROSS!
They even had penguins.
We found this amazing little gazebo area with old hand painted tiles. I could almost see the ladies in parasols strolling through here 100 years ago.
This was the perfect end to a great vacation. It was really hard to leave this peaceful, clean country. But as we got on the planes, our hearts began to turn homeward and we are ready for whatever God has for us in this new season. Well...maybe not ready...but expectant and believing God for his best. We know he will give us water and beautiful things as we need them. We are so thankful for an amazing time in Portugal! Thank you Robinsons and Whitings for all your care for us!
