Norway

We are so amazed that we got to vacation in Norway! We are so thankful to our wonderful hosts: Dan and Anita, who spoiled us and treated us like royalty. We got to see so much of their beautiful country and we fell in love with it!
We flew into Oslo and then had a 3 hour drive to Kviteseid. So we stopped at a rest area along the way to have a snack and get out some wigglies!
When we arrived in Kviteseid, Anita had a lovely dinner all prepared for us and then we sat out on the back porch with a fire, blankets, apple pie and Skyped with my parents.
The next day Dan took us to see some really old traditional Norwegian homes! This plaque said something about "Strong-Nils" building this house and being able to lift this stone with one hand that weighed 120kg.

 The sod roofs were fascinating!

Boy, those Vikings knew how build things to last!
I guess they used to be shorter??

Even the stone steps were beautiful!
On our first day, the autumn leaves were just beginning to turn!
This beautiful church was just wonderful to look at!

This is not fake! Everywhere we looked in Norway it was breath-taking! I literally could not get enough!

Famous priest dude that pastored the church for awhile!

We visited the locks at Vrodal.

You can drink the water out of any lake in Norway!

 But don't fall in, it's freezing...just ask Annie's leg!
This was the highlight of the kids' time! They jumped for hours every single day and God provided such perfect jumping weather!
They mastered a lot of new skills!
Annie couldn't wait to try out the hammock!

Okay...so Tim couldn't resist the trampoline either!
My beautiful Annie. The most precious gift to me was watching her run free and wild and have so much fun just being herself! The grass between her toes and she enjoyed every minute of it! Lord, may it soak deep into her soul to sustain her through our desert years!
This was our little cottage for the week! It had a bedroom and a living room with kitchenette and a bathroom. It was perfect for us!
Tim coached the kids on all sorts of moves!

Jesse had so much in Norway playing and laughing and running wild!

Toby is so easy-going and made our whole trip enjoyable! So thankful for his sweet heart!
