This past weekend we spent most of our time outside digging up our yard and getting it ready for GREEN!! The plan is to make this whole area grass and plant a few trees as well. I am thinking a couple orange trees and a couple pomegranate trees. At this point, we will be happy just to get some green and LESS brown. Tim and Josh, who served us ALL weekend, are shoveling cow poo into the dirt here! mmmm....
this is the other half of our yard that I have big plans for flowers and vegetables! so far i have planted some bulbs and a couple grape vines and a flowering vine.
of course our neighbors all think we really are quite simple-minded folk and they must come and instruct us on how to do every task. they mean well...i think because we sound like we are 4 in their language...or our white skin. either way, we appreciate their help and MOST of their advice. Tim is getting careful instructions on how to build the steps he wants to build down into this lower part of our yard.
and so after many instructions, he begins.
and after several hours...they are finished.
well...almost...they needed a few finishing touches.
who has a dress that matches their rain boots?? i am biased, but she is seriously cute!
