these little guys were the first to greet us...it must be spring. so sad that these sweet, soft things, grow into the huge, nasty mangy things we see all over. these guys were precious though.

they let the kids touch 'em and love on 'em...until momma came around. then we quickly ushered the kids away so we didn't end up with somebody getting butted.

i was asking all the kids what they do and they said their job is to take care of the goats...all day...every day! i saw this sweet little shepherd coming across a ridge.

we ventured into other homes this time and the kids followed us around and shyly poked their heads in to stare. they are quite fascinated by us...i hope they can see past our skin color and see what is really interesting about us soon!

this little guy was quite a little rag-tag buddy. he had no undies on...how did i know...because he also had a giant hole in the seat of his pants. his little face has mud crusted on it and he sat there picking at the mud completely caking his feet.

this sweet girl brought us a snack...yep those leaves...well not the leaves, but the stalk!

the kids chowed it down like it was candy. i was barely able to get a couple bites down. i was able to pass mine off to the kids that were surrounding us.

look at this bunch of kids...this is beauty to me.

can you guess how old this woman is?? not the one in the middle. i am a young 31! the woman next to me is younger than my mother!

she used to be the village midwife until the country had a swing toward hospital ONLY! but she showed me the room she was born in and the room she delivered many babies. look at those hands. those hands also idly fidgeted with those colorful prayer beads she had. one day those hands will serve another.
