We get city water through pipes every other day or so. Sometimes we get a lot, sometimes we hardly fill up our tanks on our roof. Sometimes there's a broken pipe up the hill that pours tons and tons of muddy water straight down the hill for our house and threatens to cave in our wall...we are thankful for the water, but last week the water fall of mud worried us.

Fortunately, Tim and few other neighbors were able to divert all the water and save our wall. but it had sprung a few leaks already.

I think they all liked getting muddy!

Even better was getting into a giant water fight afterwards! It started with just the kids...

they love getting wet...

but in the end, it was too irresistible to us all to not just join in. we were screaming and running around our street and we all had our hoses out and spraying each other. We laughed and laughed...until a neighbor down the street yelled at us and told us all the water was running down the hill and messing up his part of the street...i think he just wanted to join in the fun, but didn't know how!

drying out after all the fun! we love our neighbors!
