The kids have been begging to carve the pumpkin, so we finally did!

they loved being the ones to "gut" him.

they were quite wound up and silly that evening...but when are they not??

Zilan came over to be part of the family tradition too!

all lit up and jolly for our front porch and our neighbor's great bewilderment. we just tell them it's something silly americans like to do every year to enjoy fall!

he turned out so happy and cheerful! The best thing about him is he is now cooked, pureed and frozen, ready to be baked into many yummy holiday treats! He just keeps on giving!

the next day the kids dressed up! well this is an every day thing, but this time I let them go outside in their costumes!

Optimus (Toby) Prime ready for action!

Iron Man (Jesse) saves the day!

cute Tinker Bell

armed and ready with candy bags!

first stop...Mr. Josh and Ms. Bevin

coming through with a bag of Skittles for each kid! Wow!! Straight from America!

Then we took them to the office to show the students how weird Americans are.

The students loved getting to give the kids a candy and pinch their cheeks!

When we came home our neighbors passed out a few candies too! It was a fun day of mixing cultures!
