We drove to another city in the mountains about 2 hours away for Thanksgiving! The road winds and twists and turns and bumps, so it feels like a day in the car, but it's only 2 hours. Our friends the Rays hosted a bunch of people! It was an amazing day with TWO turkeys!
Our lovely and talented host, Dawn!

Reading our favorite Thanksgiving book called "I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Pie."

Setting up the "table" Kurdi style! Thanks to the package from the Tennessee gang we had a beautiful setting...best part...rolled it up and tossed it when we were done! Easy clean up!

The little turkey napkin holders the kids made!

The spread...we weren't exactly roughin' it! Did you know you can make sweet potato casserole with pumpkin puree? It was so good!

The kids table!

Loved all the shoes piled at the door...how do you find the ones that belong to you? No worries...just grab a pair that works!

Jesse felt cool in Jonathan's boots!

We had so much fun...but best of all was Jonathan's generous heart and letting Jesse borrow his boots for awhile! Can you tell Jesse is a little happy? A big Kurdi kiss as a thank you! Ain't no shame!

Knocked out cold on the way home...Big sisters make such good pillows!
