After much drama and going back and forth, Azad is officially engaged to the love of his life Awaz. The bride price was $4,000 worth of gold! We got to show up for the party!

Where we live, the women keep the gold and can sell it as she/her family has needs over the years. It's kind of like a protection against hard times (or even rejection). Is it the same there?
