This is a picture I just got from a team member that lived here a few years ago...this is our street in 2005...before our house was built!
this is our street TODAY! I am thankful for the progress! My neighbors are too...since they get to hang all their rugs and blankets on my wall!
Last year Zilan had a dream about 3 rainbows appearing and the lot behind our house becoming a garden. Shortly after the rainbows really did appear...the garden has yet to come. But recently I looked out my window and discovered that the trash is growing behind our house. It's really sad to look out my window...but if I can look past the trash...I see there are also flowers growing up in the midst of that. Notice the white daisies growing up and there have been poppies...however...the chickens find those to be a good breakfast and eat them before I can get a picture! I am thankful that God's beauty can still bloom even in the midst of trash. In hard times, it's easy to just see the trash, but the flowers are there! The people that dump the trash there don't see them, or don't care about them. But I see the Beauty around us, not just in this heap. I choose to see the Beauty today that surrounds me in my neighbors and friends. May I choose to see it every day!
