Okay...so we realize that our life is totally different from the life we used to live. Vacation in America meant, going to see our parents, or going with the college students to the beach, or the one time we won a couple of nights stay in Cancun..but besides that we have never been on a "real" vacation. But now that we live in Iraq, we get to go on these great vacations because well we need to or we would shrivel up and die and because it's so cheap and because we have no family to go visit. it's a trade-off for sure...
we did get to stop at a mall for a few hours and got to eat Burger King and have magnum bars...a little better than a rest stop in Georgia!
So...after 23 hours of travel (including 4 hours in our car to the border, 4 hours in a taxi at the border...fighting over cigarettes getting smuggled in our suitcases...4 hours in another taxi to the airport, 3 hours at the mall waiting for our flight, 2 hours at the airport, 1 hour on the plane, 1 hour to our hotel and various other hours) we got to our hotel at 2 am. Can you tell by my face. I wasn't even trying to make this look. Jesse was out cold and Annie and Toby were so excited.

ummm...this is what they were looking at! WHAT??!! This is for real. I love going to the grandparents to visit...but this view is stellar! look at purple flowers and the clear water. I especially love the mountains that surround us.
Everything here is very sleek and modern. I love how this picture caught all the lines and angles. So far the service is a little modern and hard lined too...but no matter...we LOVE what we are looking at!

Annie and I decided to save on all the chlorine snarls and do braids this week. Love how it turned out...and yes my arms are VERY white...don't worry...that will change soon.

had to get a picture of the bathroom in...and put cute kids in the picture too...love the tub with jets in the back and you can't see the shower with the huge rain head. AMAZING! We are all set for an awesome week, expectant to make great memories and spend some extra time with Jesus! Thank you Lord for this vacation!
