The numbers have dropped from 80 to 35 to 20 this week. But we are undaunted. How can we be...we are just as excited to tell the stories we have to these 20 kids! This week our theme was "God loves us." We illustrated this by telling them stories about Jesus' life. We also had a lot of fun dressing up in Kurdistan flag colors, face painting...
playing with play-dough
these guys were trying to act tough...but they can deceive me...whenever I would say God loves us...you could see it was getting in deep. Imagine this simple phrase as a fresh revelation! Mind-blowing! God? You mean the one who created everything? He actually loves us? Yep! He really loves these little grubby boys too!
Who did the best job putting on Kurdistan colors?
This little beauty!
We played a fun game of smashing the balloon on each other's ankle! It was mass chaos, but a lot of fun.
This little guy finally won!
After some disruptions we were able to make it through the story time to very attentive crowd. I even asked them if they wanted to hear stories about Jesus and they shouted out, "YES!"
They made little banners to declare "God loves us."
This week we took a group picture...GOD LOVES US...the sign says! Can't wait for next week and the end of the story!
