Holly is one of the most generous people I know. My sister is like that too. You know, the type of person that is happier giving than receiving. I don't really understand. I like to get. But Holly loves to give. She serves us in different ways all the time. She is happiest serving when you may not notice it right away. Holly even decided to share her birthday with Nazila. A few months ago, Nazila said she didn't know when her birthday was, so Holly gave her June 29th...the same day as her. So I made two cakes...but Nazila was too embarrassed to get up and blow her candles out.

I love this picture of the two of them! Holly has served their family endlessly and it has not gone unnoticed by Zilan. Zilan is at a crossroads in her life as she is now a teenager. She sees the conflict of this self-sacrificing love that Holly offers and she cannot understand it. Instead of freely receiving it, she often fights it and rejects it. Why do we resist what is so good for us just because we don't understand it?
