We made it to Chamchamal! We are so thankful to be here. After working really hard this last month, finding some savings the kids didn't know they had, they were able to save up the exact amount they needed to buy bikes! Just in time, because the compound here is all paved and flat! It didn't take long for Annie to remember how to ride her bike!
Toby has not yet learned, since we moved here when he was only 4. But he is determined! He has been outside all day trying over and over. He has had such a great attitude. I am so proud of him.
She is thrilled to have her own bike. She has been begging for a bike for 2 years, but girls do not ride bikes here, until recently...and now we have a paved road by our house.
Jesse has training wheels and is happy to cruise around on his own. He is still mastering pedaling!
This is our little "shack" for the summer...with long stretches of road for the kids to roam on freely! Matt and Sara live in an identical house to the right of ours. In the background is the big center where medical clinics, english classes, conversation classes, computer classes, and lots of community outreaches are happening. It's exciting to get to help be a part of something so big this summer.
He loves his green bike!
Because girls have not been riding bikes here in the past, finding a girl bike is next to impossible. But God had this purple and green bike ready and waiting for Annie. She quickly took off this sticker though!
Tim has been patiently running alongside Toby and encouraging him to ride on his own. He will be ready in a day or two!
A peek inside our new "home." The downstairs great room!
Upstairs sitting room
our bedroom
the kids' room
the back patio with shade all day long, abundant water, and the beloved pool. The kids have gone from bike to pool 4 times already today!
Jesse prefers to stay out of the water. We are so thankful to be here and are really excited about being a part of the projects going on here. We are so thankful to Matt, Sara, Eli and Hala for welcoming us and letting us be here.

Wow! I didn't know you guys are spending the summer there? That's awesome!!!
