We were experiencing a bit of the duldrums...with the Meldrums...so we decided a fun afternoon was in order. So to the lake we went!
We made a slide with the mat into the water again!
Grammy and Annie stretching out in the shade!
Papa and the kiddos playing in the water!
You might not recognize me...I am the one behind the pictures usually! But occasionally I relinquish control of my beloved Canon to get IN the pictures!
Toby is so brave in the water. He apparently doesn't fear the absence of the bottom of the water or the hundreds of tiny fish nipping at your toes. I personally cannot help but think about those baby fish and their BIG Mamas!
The Meldrums...including Holly having a great time!
Gotta finish off the day with skipping rocks!
Mighty men of God!
On our way home, we saw this scene going up the mountainside. Sometimes I realize...WOW...we live in Iraq! There are two shepherds. One at the bottom with a donkey and one at the top of the hill in the sunlight. They were all slowly plodding their way upward. Just reminded me of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, who is behind and before us, who is always leading us upward and onward, into the Light. Sometimes I feel like that sheep at the back...dragging my feet and wondering why everyone else is in front of me and complaining about having to walk up a big hill and wondering if I will ever reach the top. But of course once I reach the top, I realize how great it is to be on top and probably the Shepherd was leading me to water and greener grass. Thank you Jesus, my Shepherd!

girl, you are wherever the Shepherd is. Holding his hand and having fun with Him! I'm sure of that!!!
